177. Elmer Fredrick⁶ Bushdiecker (Fredrick William John "Fritz"⁵ Bussdieker, Florentine Marie⁴, Johann Adam Henrich³ Buschdiecker, Johann Ernst Heinrich², Anton Caspar¹ Bussdiecker) (#917) was born September 8, 1897. Elmer died June 22, 1978 at 80 years of age. His body was interred Oak Grove.

He married Martha Cornelia Messinger September 10, 1926. (Martha Cornelia Messinger is #923.) Martha was born May 27, 1903. Martha died May 2, 1978 at 74 years of age. Her body was interred Oak Grove.

He was baptized Jun 16, 1898. Religion: religion unknown. At 37 years of age Elmer became the father of Donald David Bushdiecker Apr 29, 1935. At 39 years of age Elmer became the father of William Allen "Bill" Bushdiecker Feb 9, 1937. At 40 years of age Elmer became the father of Roger Kent Bushdiecker Jul 12, 1938. After Elmer married Martha (#923) they lived on the third floor of his brother-in-law Gus's and sister Mabel's (918) grocery store building in the 100 block of Kingshighway at the corner of Sibley St., Ostmann Market. Mabel and Martha became close friends. Elmer and Martha didn't start their family right away. When they did, they had a brick house built at 2012 N 3rd St in St Charles, MO. Before Elmer was married he owned and ran a bakery called Sunshine or Blue Label on S Main St for three years. The work was hard and Elmer got nervous and sick so he sold the bakery to Denker. Then Elmer got started in the used auto parts business on S Main St for a while before he built his St Charles Auto Parts store at 1200 N 2nd St where he only sold new auto parts. He had this business before he got married and he did well at it the rest of his life. He was a well-liked and respected business man. Elmer's brother Freddy (#920) worked in the store as a clerk. Elmer's wife Martha sometimes worked in the store doing bookkeeping. Otherwise she stayed with her children. When Elmer's parents died he claimed most of their property saying it was owed to him for services he had rendered to them while they were living. Martha died a little before Elmer did.
