Fred Busdiecker Family
Photographs of the family of Frederick and Anna Ebner Busdiecker of Saint Louis, Missouri, grandparents of Roy F. Busdiecker, Jr. Fred's mother, Mary, died when he was 11 years old. He was placed in an orphanage, but ran away and supported himself from that time forward. One of his jobs was to operate machinery in a box factory, where he needed to stand on a box in order to reach the controls for the machinery. As an adult he delivered milk from a horse-drawn wagon until trucks became available. He had a strong sense of family which he passed on to his children.
