Wolfgang Dreuse of Osnabrück, Germany, has a site with wonderful historical maps and photographs of Buer including the historic St. Martini church and many old family farms.

One of the most valuable pages on this site is a 19th century List of Families (with house numbers!) for Buer, Sehlingdorf, Duingdorf and other towns in that area.  From this list we can surmise which of our ancestors might have known each other.
