We arrived at Am Bussdiek around 2:00 pm on May 24.
As Roy Busdiecker shook hands with Ewald Bussdieker he said, "Ich heisse
Busdiecker" (I am called Busdiecker), to which Ewald replied, "Ich auch"
(I, too!). Ewald's wife Marianne joined us almost immediately,
followed by their married daughter Heike and her children. Shortly
after, we were joined by Ewald's brother Heinrich Bussdieker and his wife
Ingred, as well as Gerde Bussdiecker Korner, sister of the two men.
Roy and Jan Busdiecker were travelling with their hosts, Darryl and
Barbara Hersant of Berlin. |
