Austria
-- It was a beautiful, sunshiney day in early October when we drove into Granstein at 1500 meters in the Otzler Alps of Austria. The next day there was a blizzard! We hiked around in the snow that day. By the next day the roads were clear enough to drive to Hochgurgl and Obergurgl, then up to the Timmelsjoch where Austria meets Italy. The road that crossed the border there was still closed because of the snow.
