Pin Oak Creek

Pin Oak Creek Baptist Church of Mt Sterling, Missouri, played a key role for many in the Giedinghagen line.

The Centennial booklet published in 1955 contains many historical pictures and accounts of the early history of the church.

Of special interest is the poem written by Rev. Albert Linder to help celebrate the 81st anniversary of the congregation in 1936.  The poem is reproduced on page 16 below.  Rev. Linder was also the husband of Lillie Giedinghagen.  Their descendants are documented in the Linder Genealogy on this web site.

Click on one of the small images below to see it full-size.  If the print is too small to read, see the Note below.

NOTE:  If you are using Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, it may be set to fit the entire page image on your screen, making the text too small to read.  If this is the case, move your mouse pointer over the page and let it rest there for a few moments.  An enlargement control will pop up at the bottom right corner of the image.  Click the control to see a readable-sized image.
