| The German word Herzog means "Duke" or
"Dukedom". The word Buchse means "box", and Buchsee
refers to the "box-tree". The heraldry for Herzogenbuchsee
displays the Buchsee leaves and a Ducal crown for the dukedom. The town of Herzogenbuchsee has a nice web site at www.herzogenbuchsee.ch
Even if you don't read German you can enjoy the photographs of the town
and those who live there now.
